The first President Bush was in the White House, the first Gulf War had just concluded, and the first World Trade Center attack was still two years away when Jeff Caplan joined WCBS. Over the next decade and a half, he anchored 880's morning news coverage of wars, hanging chads, Roger the Rocket, Sammy the Bull, the birth of the web, and the death of the subway token. Jeff has won numerous broadcast awards, and along the way, introduced Traffic and Weather together an estimated 375,000 times.

After 15-years anchoring the WCBS morning news, Jeff traded his headphones for a briefcase and an overnight bag and acts as CEO of an online company he founded six years ago. Jeff continues his close association with WCBS Newsradio anchoring the news whenever possible because it's in his blood: He began listening to WCBS Newsradio at the age of 9, always dreaming of sitting in the booth. Jeff lives in New Jersey, and these days, his teenage son dreams about a radio career-- as a sportscaster.
