Here is how to give a speech without any notes.
This is what Westchester memory training expert Jim Kwik tells his clients.
Rather than memorizing everything you want to say – just remember visual cues – to represent each key point you want to make.
For instance, you only have to remember that the podium can represent the solid foundation of your business, somebody’s nice suit can remind you to talk about what’s fashionable in your industry now, and the doorway to the room can be your prompt to talk about your view of the future.
Jim Kwik says here’s why visualizing works.
He says, “You know you go to somebody and say ‘I remember your face, but I forgot your name.' It’s never the opposite. You never go to someone and say ‘I remember your name, but I forgot your face!'"
Jim says, "We remember what we see better than we remember words."
